I dint realize how difficult it would be to find free time now that we have no help. Rich has adjusted really well and is quite proud of himself. I am still getting used to this. Its seems that the minute I get home from work, he hands the kids over to me. I understand that he needs a break, but I have been working all day too. Its frustrating, but I have to just deal with it for now. By the time the kids are both in bed, its 8:30 and the last thing I want to do is scrapbook or paint. I did a little bit last weekend, but still have yet to finish the LO I started. This weekend we have to go to the tiniest boring town in Texas to visit Rich's ailing grandmother. I know its family, but I just hate staying there. The house and th dogs and the smell....ugh. Plus the kids and I barely sleep since I have to share a bed with Nikolas. At least its only one night. His grandma is super sweet and I adore her, but its serious stress for me with the boys because their is so much crap that they can and will get in to.
Enough complaining! I think we are going to go to Austin again afterwards, as it is about an hour awa. We plan to go bike riding again since we go the kids a little trailer that Rich pulls and they love it. The wear little helmets, eat their snack, and eventually fall asleep as we ride. What a great invention!

I had one of those little trailers! I loved that thing. We ended up selling it and the bikes at a garage sale before we left. We had fun with it, though, and I hope you guys do, too.
Have fun in Austin, it'll get you through the day of no fun with that to look forward to.
:)
maybe you should hire a "helper" one night a week so you can get some down time. I can only imagine that it is very difficult to come right home and bust into mommy mode. Hang in there, and hope the trip goes well... :)
Oh Carla girl! I can SO relate! It's tough. I wish I had some advice, but we just try and split up the "chores" as much as we can. It's crazy every night here from 6-8:30! And then that's when the laundry and dishes and all that gets done. Hang in there!
Have fun this weekend! I love Austin, great town!
I know what you mean. I get home and I'm lucky to get a break. Even if Andy has been home all day (without Tanner). It seems that some days he WAITS until 4pm to start some of his work so that he can't do anything when I get home with Tanner.
Such is the man.
Have fun biking :)
Carla! Hoping things are going okay! Missing your art (you so inspire me!) Have a good weekend - hopefully there will be sleep and enjoy those bikes (I've been trying to convince Matt to get one of those for awhile!) Kim
Oh Oh...guess I know how my Dh Feels now when he gets home. Ha! My son adores him and doesn't give him even a chance to get in the door from getting home from work.
It was like that when my son was younger tho. I would throw the baby in his arms. I was wiped after all day long with him. I knew my Dh needed a break too but so did I. So it is a struggle juggling it all. you'll get a routine down and each take on what you need. Not to worry!
Love those bike carts are GREAT!
Did you catch Claudia H. on Martha Stewart today? I just seen on her website she was on Martha. Maybe you TIVO it? I missed it. bummer!
